Big Baby

Big Baby

Brian: (with an air of superiority) "Did you know that the Monarch butterfly's migration can span up to 3,000 miles?"

Heather: (glancing up briefly) "Oh, that's interesting."

Brian: (undeterred by her lack of enthusiasm) "Indeed. You see, the Monarchs utilize a combination of environmental cues to navigate. It's quite a sophisticated process involving the sun's position and an internal circadian clock."

Heather: (returning to her book) "Uh-huh."

Brian: (leaning in, mistaking her indifference for ignorance) "And their metamorphosis is a marvel of nature! From a mere caterpillar to a chrysalis and then emerging as a beautiful butterfly... it's a biological miracle."

Heather: (without looking up) "Fascinating."

Brian: (sensing a chance to further impress) "Did you also know that butterflies can taste with their feet? And they only live for a few weeks, so every moment of their short life is spent seeking nectar and reproducing."

Heather: (finally looking up, with a hint of irritation) "Listen, I appreciate your enthusiasm, but I came here to read and relax. I'm not really interested in a lecture on butterflies right now."

Brian: (taken aback) "Oh... well, I just thought you might want to learn something new."

Heather: (smiling politely) "I do, just not from you."

Brian: (deflated, but trying to save face) "Alright then, enjoy your book."

Brian: (later) "It's getting late are you done with your book? I'm getting tired. Let's go to sleep,"

Heather: (putting down the book, but turning on some quiet music) "You can turn out the light. I want to listen to music a little while longer."

Brian:"I don't think."

Heather:"I'll keep it low. You'll hardly hear it."

The 36-year-old Brian was frankly too exhausted to complain. Heather turned out the lights. The music sounded soothing. He quickly fell asleep.

Heather had been out of bed when Brian awoke.

Heather: "Good morning, sweetie! Let's get you ready for the day. How about we put on your big girl panties today?"

Brian: (in a questioning tone) "My big girl panties?"

Brian: (a moment later, his tone turned to defiant) "No, Mommy. I want to wear diapers."

Heather: "Oh, you don't want to wear your big girl panties today? Can you tell me why?"

Brian: "I don't like them. Diapers are better."

Heather: "I understand. Diapers can feel really comfy and safe. But remember how proud you were when you wore your big girl panties last time?"

Brian: "But I had an accident."

Brian distinctly remembered going to the park and seeing several butterflies. He ran after them when he lost control and got his panties and his tights all wet the day before. In his mind's eye, he could recall the yellow stain running down his white tights all the way down to his pink sneakers.

Heather: "It's okay to have accidents. That's part of learning. I'm so proud of you for trying! Every time you use the potty, you're getting better and better."

Brian: "But what if I have another accident?"

Heather: "If you do, it's perfectly fine. We'll clean it up together, and you can try again. You are doing such an amazing job, and accidents are just part of learning."

Brian: "I don't wanna have an accident. It was yucky."

Heather: "I know, sweetheart. How about this: Let's try wearing your big girl panties this morning, and if you really want to, we can switch to a diaper later. You know before we see grandma. Does that sound okay?"

Brian: "Okay... but can I have my butterfly panties?"

Heather: "Of course! Your butterfly panties are so pretty. And remember, every time you use the potty, you get a sticker on your chart. Would you like to pick out today's sticker?"

Brian: "Yes! I want the sparkly one."

Heather: "Great choice! Let's put on your butterfly panties and then you can put the sparkly sticker on your chart. You're doing a wonderful job, my big girl!"

Brian: "YAY! Another sticker!"

Heather: "Hey let's potty first so there won't be any more of those nasty accidents."

Heather took Brian's hand. She led him to the bathroom and pulled down and off his pajamas and briefs. Brian sat on the toilet wearing only his pajama tops.

Heather: "You go potty. I'll be back with clothes, including your butterfly panties. Don't get up until I'm back."

Brian: "Okay."

Heather walked to the closet where she stored a complete outfit for Brian. Everything in the bag had never been worn before. Not even the butterfly panties that Brian insisted upon. There were also white tights, black maryjanes, a dress with puff sleeves and a watermelon print, and a pretty matching bow for Brian's hair. The hypnotic tape worked as well as advertized. Brian was acting just like a three-year-old girl.

Heather returned with the outfit. Since she needed to put the panties on first, it was held in her right hand, the rest of her outfit in her left hand.

While sitting on the 'potty' what was left of Brian's personality resurfaced. Wearing 'big girl panties' seemed wrong to him, but he didn't know why.

Brian: (Brian stood up the moment he saw Heather with the panties in her hand) "No, Mommy! I want to wear diapers!"

Heather: "You don't want to wear your big girl panties? I thought we agreed. Can you tell me why?"

Brian: "No! I don't like them! I never want to wear big girl panties again. Diapers are better!"

Heather: "I understand. Diapers can feel really comfy and safe. But you've been doing such a great job with your big girl panties."

Brian: "No! Diapers! I want diapers!"

Heather: "Okay, I see you're feeling very upset. Let's take a deep breath together, okay?"

Brian: "No! Diapers now!"

Heather: "Alright, sweetie, I hear you. Let's sit down for a moment and calm down."

Brian: (Crying and refusing) "No! Diapers!" (Brian began to jump up and down)

Heather: "It's okay to feel upset. I'm here with you."

Brian: (Still crying and jumping) "I want diapers! I don't want any panties."

Heather: "I understand. Diapers make you feel safe. Let's wear a diaper for now and we can talk more about big girl panties later, okay? I want you to feel comfortable."

Heather didn't mind putting Brian back in diapers. Whether as an adult or as a little girl, Brain would always act like a baby. He deserved to be in diapers.

Brian: (Sniffles) "Okay."

Heather: " Let's put on a diaper and then maybe we can read a story together. Would you like that?"

Brian: (Nods) "Yes, a story."

Back in the bedroom, Heather helped Brian out of his pajama tops. Then she returned to the closet to fetch a pair of diapers. She bade him to lay on his back with his legs apart. It took only a minute to secure him in a fresh diaper. The rest of his outfit soon followed, including the hair bow.

Heather surveyed her man wearing a fleece red baby dress with a white scalloped collar containing embroidered hearts and a scalloped hem at the mid-thigh. Under the dress, white tights were visible. On his feet black maryjanes with a single strap. In his hair a butterfly hair bow.. A cuter outfit couldn't be worn by any toddler girl.

Heather: "Great. And remember, anytime you feel ready to try your big girl panties again, we can give it another go. You're doing your best, and I'm proud of you."

Brian: "Okay, Mommy."

Heather: "Now it's story time. I'll read you the story about...guess what?

Brian: "Butterflies."

Heather: "Yes, butterflies."

Heather smiled as she led Brain to the couch to read him the story. An hour later, Heather accompanied Brian to the car and secured him in the back seat. She drove him to his real mother's house.

Heather: "I'm going to ring the doorbell. You wait for Granny to open the door. Okay?"

Brian: "Okay."

Heather placed a bag with several pairs of panties, another dress, and a box of diapers next to Brain. She rang the doorbell and then walked to the car, leaving the big baby with his actual Mommy as she drove away.

End.
