CATastrophe

CATastrophe

You could see across the street, Joanna Linville letting her cat out. Joanna was a beauty, five foot five, hazel eyes, medium-length light brown wavy hair with bangs, She had a really great figure, with long legs. Although, she wore skirts that were too long for your liking. Her boobs were a C-cup if not better. You could go on forever, but what was the point?

Her cat, Sparkles was an indoor/outdoor cat. She didn't let the cat out every day. The cat usually stayed out for a couple of days before returning. You had lured Sparkles into your house on occasion. The cat liked it at your house as you have bought many items for the cat. Even though technically you didn't have a cat, you had cat toys, a litter box, a cat tree, and bowls for Sparkles to eat and drink. Everything a cat would need. Sparkles was happy in your house when he stayed over.

When you let the cat out, he would return to his true home. Joanna would never know that her cat had spent time inside the house across the street from hers. Besides, why should she care, it was Joanna who let the cat out in the first place.

Your plan was simple, you had acquired a device that would swap your 'place in the family' and would use it on Sparkles. As far as Joanna and everyone else, the swap wouldn't just trade your position in your own family, but with society in general. You would be seen as Joanna's cat (whatever that means to anyone seeing you). Sparkles would be seen as you.

Once you had swapped, you could walk over to Joanna's house, and she would let you in. She would see you as her cat. She wouldn't think anything about undressing around you. You could find out the type of person she is, what she liked, and all her details. You could use those details when you returned to your own 'place in the family' as a human to your advantage to form your own relationship with her. That is if you still wanted to.

You might find out that she isn't your type of person. You didn't have to do anything if she wasn't, and she would never know.

But, what about Sparkles? While you are at Joanna's playing your cat games, Sparkles would simply be over here. You'll leave cat food for him and plenty of cat toys remain. He'll have a ball. You'll keep the blinds down and the door close so no one can see Sparkles. It would look odd for the neighbors to see what they thought was you, roaming around like a cat. But as long as they don't see you, there shouldn't be a problem.

Sparkles, even though he would swap places with you, would still be a cat. There wouldn't be any way for him to open the front door and get out. He couldn't pick up the phone and call anyone. You supposed for Sparkles, he wouldn't know anything had changed. How could he, he's a cat no matter what others thought of him. It wasn't like he was going to start to use the toilet instead of the cat box.

What you needed to do is to look up cat behavior. Joanna would see you as her cat, you should act like a cat to dampen any suspicions. You didn't think there would be any, but it couldn't hurt to learn more about cat behavior.

You went to Google, and typed in 'cat behavior'. You skipped the paid ads and found an article from the RSPCA. You clicked that one. You looked over the headlines quickly: Signs your cat is having a problem. How to keep your cat happy, Preventing your cat from hunting wildlife.

You looked over the 'signs your cat is having a problem'. Grooming themselves more than usual; you didn't worry about that one. Hiding; a second one not to worry about. Sleeping in hunched position; is not a problem. Changing feeding and/or toileting habits; that one worried you. You weren't 100% sure of Sparkles' habits. You would have to do the best you could. You would have to eat the cat food. You would have to use the cat box. You sort of knew you would have to do those things even before you started. The final indication is spraying indoors; you wouldn't be doing that.

'How to keep your cat happy' was the next big topic. You skimmed it. No big deal. The third was preventing your cat from hunting. You didn't plan on doing any hunting. Not for what cats hunt for anyway.

You found another article, Common Cat Behaviors and What They Mean, nothing important there.

The search for more exotic behaviors continued. You found another article. Hey, cats love to stare. "Isn't that great?" you thought. You can stare without seeming odd. Cat's like to sleep with their owners. "Jackpot!" You can get into bed with her and Joanna shouldn't have a problem with it. Cats love to rub their heads on you. You will be in cat heaven and Joanna won't have a problem with that.

Those were the behaviors that you were concerned with. The others didn't matter too much. You can run around the house if you like. You could sleep from 14-18 hours a day. You might have to cut back on your cat's sleep. You stick your butt out. Fine, whatever.

You determined to play whatever cat games that Joanna had for you. What did you care if you had to play with a faux mouse or swat at a feather on a stick?

There was one thing that concerned you. Is catnip poisonous to humans? You looked it up. It seems that catnip is related to mint. It has been used as a tea for centuries and it has many effects. It won't kill a human. You found the following amusing as you read the warnings about it. "Do not take catnip if driving or operating heavy equipment." You didn't expect to operate any heavy equipment when everyone thought you were a cat. You'll be safe.

Armed with all your cat facts, all you had to do was attract sparkles over to your house. Then you would simply walk over to Joanna's house and she would let you in. You had already got a copy of the cat's collar in your size and the cat's dog tag. You knew that was all you would be wearing. You would have to go to Joanna's house naked. Cats don't wear clothes!. Sparkles never did.

With all your knowledge about cats, you encouraged Sparkles to enter your home. The house was set up for the cat visit. There was plenty of food and water to last the couple of days that your roles would be reversed. There were cat toys spread throughout the house for Sparkles to play with. There was a cat tree for Sparkles to scratch to his heart's content. The rooms you didn't want him to go in had the doors closed. All the curtains and shades were down so no one could see into your house, but the lights were on so the house wouldn't be dark. Sparkles would have a great time.

You played with Sparkles for a while watching his interactions with you. You wanted to mimic what he did when you were seen as 'the cat'. You also watched Sparkles do what he wanted without any interaction to get a sense of his alone cat time too.

Finally, it was time to swap places. You went into your bedroom and removed all your clothes. You were going to be as naked as a cat during this entire experience. Once fully naked, you put on your cat collar. The collar would be identical to Sparkles' including it having all the information on Sparkle's 'dog tag'.

You looked at yourself in the mirror. "MEOW" you stated. When you were a cat, you didn't have to say "MEOW" you could speak normally. No one would know what you are saying though since everyone saw you as a cat. That would be your new role in society until you swap back. You would lose all your rights as a human. You would become legally Sparkles, the physical property of Joanna.

"OK, Sparkles," you said, "it's time to do that. You probably won't have any idea, but for the next two days, you will be a person. Have fun!"

You picked up the device and pointed it at Sparkles. You made absolutely sure that all the options were set to accomplish what you want. This would be a complete, "Place In The Family" swap. When activated you would be Joanna's cat according to everyone, and Sparkles would you Joanna's 'human' neighbor.

There was a moment of hesitation. Did you really want to do this? It was a scary prospect not to be thought of as a person anymore. If something really went wrong, you would be screwed. That wasn't going to happen though. In a couple of days, Joanna will let you out, you'll high tail it right here and swap back. It was as simple as that.

"I'm going to do this!" you told yourself.

You picked up the device, checked the setting once again, and activated it. As far as anyone knew from now until you reversed the device, you were the cat and Sparkles was the human. You set the device so that if activated a second time it would return both of you to normal. You didn't want to have to set it again when it was time to return to your old place in society.

You looked up and down at yourself. You didn't seem any different. You were naked and wearing a cat collar, but that was your doing. You didn't think anything really had changed. Sparkles didn't seem any different either.

"You're a human now, Sparkles. Don't get into trouble while I'm gone."

The cat didn't seem concerned.
