Fairy Employment John Shavers stood nervously outside the Office of Fairies, clutching his resume and feeling his heart race. The building was a whimsical sight, with ivy-covered walls and shimmering, fairy-sized doors. He took a deep breath, trying to calm himself before stepping inside. The interior was just as magical as he had imagined. Soft, twinkling lights illuminated the space, and tiny fairies flitted about, each one dressed in bright, colorful outfits. John approached the reception desk, where a friendly fairy with lavender wings greeted him. "Hello! You must be John Shavers. Here for the job interview?" the receptionist asked, her voice cheerful. John nodded, swallowing his nerves. "Yes, that's me." "Great! Follow me," the receptionist said, leading John down a corridor lined with portraits of esteemed fairies. They stopped outside a door marked "Interviews," and the receptionist gave him an encouraging smile. "Good luck!" John stepped inside to find a fairy with a commanding presence sitting behind a desk. Her wings were a brilliant shade of blue, and she wore a stern but kind expression. "Welcome, John. I'm Kalinda, head of recruitment. Please, have a seat," the interviewer said, motioning to a chair. John sat down, trying to steady his shaking hands. "Let's start with a few questions to assess your qualifications for the job of fairy," Kalinda began. "Why do you want to become a fairy, and what do you think you can bring to our team?" John took a deep breath. "I've always admired fairies and the magic they bring into the world. I believe I can bring creativity and kindness to the role. I've always been good at helping others and finding joy in small things." Kalinda nodded, jotting down notes. "What experience do you have that would make you a good fit for this position?" John thought for a moment. "I've worked with children as a teacher. I also have a background in art, so I'm good at creating beautiful things." "Interesting," Kalinda said, smiling slightly. "How do you handle stressful situations or difficult tasks?" John felt more confident now. "I stay calm and think things through. I try to find creative solutions and remain positive, no matter the challenge." Kalinda leaned back in her chair, looking pleased. "One final question: What does being a fairy mean to you?" John's eyes sparkled. "Being a fairy means spreading joy and wonder. It's about making the world a better place, one small act of magic at a time." Kalinda stood up and extended her hand. "Congratulations, John. You're hired." John's mouth dropped open in surprise. "Really? Thank you so much!" Kalinda smiled warmly. "You have the heart and spirit of a fairy. Let's get you outfitted and take your photo for your identification." John was led to a fitting room where he was given a pink leotard, tights and a tiara, along with delicate pink and baby-blue wings that shimmered in the light. He slipped into the outfit, feeling an overwhelming sense of excitement and belonging. Once dressed, he was guided to a room where a photographer waited. "This is all happening too fast," John told the photographer.
