The Trait Swapper struck while Ian was accompanying his girlfriend Kari in a department store. Kari wasn't looking for any panties, but they happened to pass the lingerie department when they encountered the Trait Swapper. Reality changed for Ian and Kari but not anyone who was nearby. The woman didn't know what to think. A grown man ran up to her out of nowhere and pulled the panties right of her hand.

Kari: You can't take things from a stranger's hands. Tell me what you want and then maybe, if you are good, I can buy them for you.

Ian: Can I have them?

Kari: No.

Ian: Why not? There are other panties like the one she had on the shelf.

Ian: Okay, Kari.
