QUantum FIlament Transferance Part 5 Preface Quantum Filaments, here afterward referred to as QUFITs instantly transfer characteristics between two individuals. First recorded in 2015 they recur annually. A previously unknown phenomenon they first appeared on October 31st in Denver, Colorado, United States at approximately 1610 hours local time. Just days ahead of the annual Leonid meteor showers, many amateur astronomers mistakenly claimed they were only part of a highly active cycle of meteor showers or the intense Aurora Borealis. For several days many governments around the world thought it better to allow that explanation to persist rather than admit this was a phenomenon that was unknown to current science and whose impact could not be predicted. Humans are the only known life forms impacted by the QUFITs. Persons changed by an annual QUFIT fall appear to be wholly immune to any subsequent falls. The transference between individuals can be either physical or mental. The number of changes visited upon a person has ranged from one to eighteen individual "swaps". ------------------------------------------------------------- *** Phone Message Chime *** "You have got to see it, it's a meteor shower like I have never seen!" Kyle Jackson, a divorced man of 34, saw the message from his friend Alex. Kyle was an ordinary man, six foot two, 210 pounds, trimmed beard and mustache, rich blue t-shirt, worn faded jeans, tan work shoes and a yellow hat. "Take a picture and let me see." "It's better if you see it yourself." "I can see it from here?" "I think so. I think the whole state can see it, if not half the country." "OK, I'll look. It was 7:00 on the east coast in late fall, The sky was already very dark. Looking up, Kyle saw what his friend was talking about. Multicolored shooting stars adorned the late evening sky. Alex was right. Kyle looked down at his phone ready to message him back. Kyle discovered he wasn't outside anymore. He was in front of a large door. Clearly the door opened to the outside, as it was thick and had a lock on it. His hand was already on the knob. "Go ahead, open it!" Kyle heard a soft feminine voice say behind him. Kyle opened the door, outside was a white pony with a pink snout. On the pony's forehead was a pink cone that resembled a horn. The pony was dressed up to look like a unicorn.
