Role Swapper Mall
The morning was bright as Julia and her father, Joseph, pulled into the busy mall parking lot. The massive building loomed ahead, its glass doors reflecting the blue sky and the rows of cars packed into every available space. Julia took a deep breath, her heart racing with anticipation. Today, she was shopping for her wedding dress, the dress that would mark the beginning of a whole new chapter. Inside, the mall was alive with activity. The air was filled with the soft hum of voices, the occasional burst of laughter, and the distant sound of a piano melody piped through the speakers. Sunlight streamed in through skylights, casting warm, bright patches on the polished floors and bouncing off the glossy storefronts. Shoppers moved purposefully through the wide halls, weaving between displays of perfume, handbags, and holiday decorations. Joseph walked alongside Julia, his arm around her shoulders, beaming with fatherly pride. "Well, kiddo, this is it. Are you ready?" Julia smiled up at him, her heart fluttering. "I think so, Dad. I'll meet you back here in a couple of hours?" Joseph nodded, pointing toward the barber shop at the far end of the mall. "Yep, just need a quick trim. You have fun, alright? And don't let them talk you into anything too crazy," he added with a wink. They exchanged a quick hug before parting ways. At that moment, the Role Swapper who frequented this particular mall swapped their reasons for being there. All the staff of the mall knew what the Role Swapper was about, but the public was kept in the dark. Joseph headed toward the bridal shop, his heart pounding with excitement and nerves. In a few months, he would be a bride. This was the first step in that process. As he walked through the doors of the bridal boutique, Joseph felt like he was stepping into another world. Rows of white, ivory, and blush dresses stretched out in front of him, each one a masterpiece of lace, satin, and silk. Crystal chandeliers hung from the ceiling, casting a soft glow over everything, and mirrors lined the walls, making the space feel almost endless. A petite saleslady approached, looking no older than eighteen, with bright eyes and a warm smile. She had a calm, confident air about her, despite her youth, and moved with an effortless grace. "Welcome to Belle Bridal," she said, her voice soft but assured. "My name's Chloe. How can I help you today?" Joseph, tall and slender, he felt slightly out of place as he glanced around at mannequins dressed in extravagant, lace-covered gowns. He felt both overwhelmed and exhilarated. "Hi, Chloe. I'm here to find a wedding dress." The request of a middle-aged man for a wedding dress wasn't foreign to Chloe. Since the Role Swapper frequented the mall, many such encounters had become common to the staff of the various stores at the mall. Most of the staff had been transformed also. Chloe had been a woman in her late fifties before her encounter with the Role Swapper. She was pleased that she had the body of a young woman. She knew that that could change at any moment. The Role Swapper was fickle. But, if that happened, she would adapt to anything that happened. Chloe's eyes lit up. "Oh, that's wonderful! You're in the right place," she replied, clasping her hands together as if this was the best news she'd heard all day. "Do you have a style in mind, or would you like some help exploring your options?" "Yes," Joseph replied, smiling nervously. "I've been thinking about my wedding dress since I was small. I know I want something elegant but not too overwhelming... maybe lace, with a fitted bodice and a little flare at the skirt." "Perfect! Let's get you started," Chloe said, guiding Joseph toward a section of dresses that matched his vision. Joseph tried on a few dresses, each fitting well but lacking that transformative magic he'd envisioned. Standing in front of the mirror, he twisted to see himself from different angles. Somehow, the dresses felt too loose through the chest, and too flat through the hips. He felt like a girl playing dress-up rather than a person preparing for his wedding. Chloe studied him thoughtfully. "I think I know what might help," she said. "Sometimes a little extra structure underneath can really bring out the shape of the dress. Have you ever tried padded lingerie?" Chloe knew that Joseph would never feel right in the dress. He didn't have a feminine body that was required. A common problem was when the Role Swapper was involved. Joseph raised an eyebrow, unsure. "Padded lingerie?" "Yes! It's designed to add some fullness in just the right places," Chloe explained. "It can give you a more defined bust, a nipped-in waist, and a little extra curve at the hips and rear. It would really make the dress come to life." Chloe purposefully said 'a little extra', when it was obvious that without the lingerie, Joseph hadn't any hips or butt at all. Not one that would look good in a wedding dress. Joseph bit his lip, uncertain. "I don't know... I mean, I don't want to look like someone else." "I understand, many of our customers think that," Chloe reassured her. "This is just to 'ENHANCE' your natural shape. It's subtle but can make a big difference in how the dress fits and flows on you." After a moment's hesitation, Joseph agreed to give it a try. Chloe brought him a set of padded lingerie: a bra with removable pads, as well as a shaper also with removable hip and butt pads. Joseph tried it on, slipping back into one of the dresses afterward. He turned to the mirror, his eyes widening as he took in the difference. His silhouette was softer, and curvier, with a newfound confidence radiating from his reflection. "Oh... it really does make a difference," she murmured, running her hands over the fabric. "It does, doesn't it?" Chloe beamed. "See how it fills out the dress and gives you that classic hourglass look?" Joseph nodded, fascinated. "Maybe... do you have a size larger? Just to see?" Chloe grinned knowingly. "Of course! Let's see what we can do."
