Antonia D'Aquaro sat in front of her vanity. She was putting on the final touches to her outfit. Her sister had invited her to see a stage hypnotist. Antonia was very excited to go. She didn't have any plans for tonight. She was going to read another Nancy Drew novel. She loved them. She wanted to see how “The Clue in the Diary” came out. Antonia had been writing in her own diary for quite a while, although in recent times she had missed a few days. She could read the novel anytime. Going out with her sister would be a treat.

Antonia had dressed for a night out. She wore a chiffon floral off-the-shoulder tiered midi fit and flare dress. Although her dress didn't have any straps, the straps from her bra could clearly be seen. The straps were in a complementary color to her dress. Antonia didn't have much in the chest area. She needed enhanced (as she called it) padded bras to give the illusion of a full chest.

Antonia liked to wear shapewear under her dress. She was afraid that she was putting on weight and used the undergarments to keep her flat and rounded in all the right places.

Completing her look, around her neck Antonia wore a thin chain. Another chain wrapped its way around her wrist. She had studs in her ears and her final accessory was her shoes. She wore heeled sandals with a T-strap.

Once dressed, Antonia applied her makeup with care. Antonia was cursed with a somewhat boyish face. She needed to take extra care with her makeup to minimize this defect. Sometimes she wasn't totally successful.

“Ariana, how do I look?” Antonia asked her sister.

“Pretty good, but can I help you a little bit?”

“Thank you.”

Ariana had a more practiced hand when it came to makeup. Antonia could rely upon her to help her out whenever she needed it.

“There, pretty as a picture,” Ariana told her.

“Thanks, sis.”

Properly prepared, Antonia decided to write something in her diary. She didn't remember the last time she wrote in it. She should put down a few notes before going out.

“Dear Diary, Ariana invited me to see this cool stage hypnotist. I am really looking forward to seeing her. We are going to have a great time. I have heard the performer is really good and that the things she makes her audience do are a lot of fun. I don't know if she'll select me or Ariana, but I hope she does. I got all dressed up for the occasion in my beautiful strapless floral dress and Ariana helped me with my makeup. I'll look great on stage. I hope they pick us!”

After posting in her diary, Antonia became curious as to when she posted last. She turned the page and saw an entry the day before.
