Troubled Son
Preface: Saturday evening, as Daniel takes his seat in the audience, he feels a knot of envy twist in his stomach. He watches as Sophia gracefully glides onto the stage, his movements fluid and confident. Daniel can't deny that his sister looks stunning in her costume, her poise radiating under the spotlight. Despite her jealousy, Daniel can't help but admire Sophia's talent. He's always known that his sister had a natural gift for dance, but seeing her perform on stage brings a pang of longing. Daniel wishes he could command the stage with the same ease and grace as Sophia. As Sophia continues to dance, Daniel's envy threatens to consume him. He can't shake the feeling of inadequacy as he watches his sister effortlessly execute each move. A part of her resents Sophia for seemingly having it all - the talent, the confidence, the adoration of the audience, the girlhood. "Mom, can we go now?' he complains to his mother sitting next to him. He didn't want her to know that he, in his way, was enjopying every minute of it. "Shush, it's almost over." In his daydreams, as Daniel watches Sophia dance, a surge of inspiration washes over him, igniting a deep-seated desire to emulate her grace and poise. In Daniel's daydream, he envisions himself donning the same shimmering costume as Sophia, his body moving in perfect synchrony with the music. With each step, he feels a sense of freedom and exhilaration, as if he's tapping into a hidden reservoir of talent that's been waiting to be unleashed. As he twirls and leaps across the imaginary stage, Daniel's movements become more fluid and confident, transcending the boundaries of his own self-doubt. In his mind's eye, he's no longer just Sophia's brother; he's a dancer, no not he, she's a dancer capable of captivating audiences with her skill and passion. Before Daniel could complete his reverie, the dancing on stage stops. All the dancers forming a line and curtsying. Daniel joins the applause, plastering a smile on his face to hide his true emotions. Chapter 1: Wednesday morning, before the rest of the family woke up, Emma entered the bathroom where her daughter Sophia was applying her makeup. Emma wanted to talk away from prying ears. Sophia's brother, Daniel, had been behaving disrespectfully lately, and Emma knew it was time to address the issue. "Sophia, we need to talk about Daniel's behavior," Emma said with a sigh, her brow furrowed with concern. Sophia nodded solemnly, her eyes reflecting her own worries. "I know, Mom. He's been so disrespectful lately, talking back and ignoring your rules." Emma's heart ached at the thought of her son's disobedience, but she knew they needed to find a solution together. "I agree, Sophia. We can't let his behavior continue unchecked. But I don't want to punish him without discussing it with you first. What do you think we should do?" Sophia thought for a moment, her brow furrowed in concentration. "I think we need to sit down with Daniel and talk to him about why his behavior is unacceptable. He needs to understand that there are consequences for disrespecting others." Emma nodded in agreement, proud of her daughter's maturity and empathy. "You're right, Sophia. We need to have a calm and honest conversation with Daniel, so he understands the impact of his actions." Together, they approached Daniel with love and understanding, sitting him down and explaining why his behavior was unacceptable. Daniel listened feigning remorse but feeling defiant, but as his mother and sister spoke, he began to understand the consequences of his actions. In the end, they decided on a fair punishment that would help Daniel learn from his mistakes and grow into a respectful young man. Neither suspected that Daniel didn't want to grow up into a respectful man...he wanted to grow up to be a pretty woman. "If Daniel was going to act like a baby, then he would have to wear diapers like a baby. I'll also return him to kindergarten where they can teach him how to treat others. I'm sure he'll be on his best behavior. It's not every day that an eleven-year-old is just one of the students in kindergarten." Chapter 2: Thursday early afternoon, Emma received a phone call. "Hello, Mrs. Smith. This is Mrs. Eaves calling from Hillsdale Elementary. I wanted to talk to you about something concerning regarding your son, Daniel." "Oh, what's going on? Is everything okay?" Teacher: "Well, I've noticed some behavior from Daniel that I think we need to address. He's been acting disrespectfully towards some of the girls in his class. He interrupts them during discussions, ignores their ideas, and occasionally makes inappropriate comments. He even told me that he doesn't belong in my class and that I can't fail him." "I talked to him about that. I'll definitely talk to him about this again. I'm really sorry to hear that he's been behaving so disrespectfully." "What I told you was bad enough, but what he has been doing is really disturbing He was been lowing his pants in front of girls and showing them his diaper. He should be embarrassed, but he seems proud that he is wearing one." "Absolutely, I'll speak to him right away. Thank you for letting me know, and I'm sorry again for any trouble he's caused. I assure you he'll never be like that in your classroom again." Emma shook her head. She would have to find a better punishment. "Due to his behavior, I can't wait. I'm sending him to the school psychologist, Mr. Johnson after school. He'll be arriving home about an hour later than usual." "I see. I'll talk to him as soon as he gets home." "Let's hope that between you, me and the school psychologist we can get through to him." Emma couldn't believe it. She was sure that Daniel would be on his best behavior. She made him go to kindergarten with five-year-olds and he was the only one who had to wear a diaper. Despite all that, he was still acting out. Emma knew she couldn't send him back to Mrs. Eaves' kindergarten class. What Daniel needed was a role model. Someone to be with him, someone like SOPHIA. Later, as Sophia was dressing for her dance class, Emma had her second serious discussion with her. "How would you like to have a twin sister?" "A what?" Daniel's teacher called me today. He is just as bad as ever. Putting him into diapers and kindergarten didn't work. What he needs is a role model who will show him how a perper person act.. He isn't home from school yet, but when he returns, I'm going to make him conduct himself properly...just like you." "Just like me? What do you mean?" "You and him will share a room. He will do whatever you do. He'll wear your clothes and go to your class." "Mom, are you really going to make Daniel dress in my clothes?" "After what he did! You bet I am!!!"
"And when I put on makeup in the morning, he'll do that too?" "Yeah, I'll make sure he knows everything you know about it. He'll do everything you do, I promise you. He won't have any choice!"
