Wonderfully Normal 2
Mr. Maxwell pressed the intercom button on his desk. "Sandra, please have the Normalizer prepared and calibrated. I'll need it within the hour." His secretary's voice crackled back with professional efficiency: "Of course, Mr. Maxwell. I'll notify you when it's ready." He leaned back in his leather chair and studied the proposal on his desk-the company's childcare initiative. Employee satisfaction surveys showed that working parents valued the on-site daycare above almost any other benefit, but Maxwell had never set foot in that wing of the building. He was a hands-on CEO, one who believed in understanding every aspect of his company from the ground up. Today, he would understand this too. He would experience the daycare firsthand, make notes on any necessary improvements, and return to his office by end of business to reverse the process and compile his findings.
